The Australian DBT Institute will provide the necessary support for the development and implementation of a DBT informed program delivered by Open Arms Team. The content of this comprehensive program in DBT will be adapted to include the research findings of Peter King PhD which found, that to be most effective in the treatment of extreme emotion regulation in clients, supporting families, a trauma informed, and recovery orientated approach is most effective in addition to DBT

The Department of Veterans' Affairs engaged Gold Coast DBT Pty Ltd to support the development and implementation of a DBT informed program delivered by Open Arms Team from May 2021 to May 2022 for AU$19,250. The program incorporated research findings on emotion regulation and trauma-informed approaches. The contract was awarded through limited tender.
