Project scope

The NSW Department of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment and Water (DCCEEW) seeks to engage a suitably qualified service provider to develop a Preliminary Business Case (PBC) for the Hunter Valley Flood Mitigation Scheme (HVFMS, the Scheme). This work is being undertaken to inform future ownership and funding arrangements for the HVFMS, noting that current funding commitments expire in 2029 and a sustainable long-term delivery model is required. The PBC will: build on completed Stage 1 Ownership and Funding Options Analysis, and prior business case work refine and validate the case for change assess and shortlist viable ownership, governance and funding models support NSW Government decisionmaking on progressing to an FBC.
