Project scope

Proposals for the GKNP Retrenched Worker Coordinator Service will need to include details on an approach for delivering the following services for an initial group of up to 60 clients from 1 December 2025 and a total of up to 240 over the period to 30 June 2027: Providing face-to-face and one-on-one support to impacted workers from a person with relevant knowledge and experience in industry and worker transitions.Conducting an initial assessment for each impacted worker to assess their skills, experience, career interests and potential barriers to re-employment.Creating an employment plan in conjunction with the worker, linking workers to employment services, and providing technology assistance.Where appropriate, providing and supporting Recognition of Prior Learning.Developing individual training plans and helping navigate training systems and options. (Note: Funding for training is available to impacted workers.)Ensuring workers are aware of and supported to access the wellbeing, financial and legal guidance, and relocation and training assistance provided by the NSW Government.Working with relevant agencies such as the Department of Primary Industries and Regional Development (DPIRD), Rural Assistance Authority, Training Services and the Commonwealth Department of Employment and Workplace Relations.Providing weekly updates and feedback to the Principal as requested on uptake and engagement with workers and outcomes.
