Description

The Perth Watch House (PWH) is the Western Australia Police Force’s principal site for the detention of arrested persons awaiting their first appearance in court. The PWH may at times also manage persons awaiting extradition to other states in Australia or who have been arrested on outstanding warrants. These persons in custody are arrested for numerous reasons and may present with a range of physical and/or mental conditions, including alcohol and/or drug intoxication and/or suffering from a mental health illness or underlying medical condition. As the WA Police Force is responsible for persons in custody while at the PWH, the WA Police Force must ensure that their health and safety is managed appropriately. The WA Police Force currently provides full time nursing services on a continuous 24-hour, seven days a week (24/7) basis at the PWH to ensure that the persons in custody have access to these services. In order to achieve this, the WA Police Force is seeking a suitably experienced Contractor to provide these nursing services.
