A project to be undertaken
Project scope
The designer is to engineer and document the following: • Replacement of VRV based FCU (fan coil unit) systems in Blocks 3, 5, 6 & 9 (Laboratories) and Block 1 (Offices) with new chilled water and heating hot water (CHW) plant, pipework distribution and FCU systems. • Replace Daikin VRV and split systems in Offices 3.2, 3.5 & 6.5 • BACnet native open protocol based BMS system connected to all the above including HLI’s from chillers and other new systems. • New BMS system (related to this project only). System to be compatible with a future site-wide new umbrella BMS system; • New submain supplies for new chiller and heating plant MSSB’s from the new electrical switchboard, MSB1, installed in early 2025 • Provide backup CHW pipework to Block 4 • Design of cable reticulation pathway between MSB1 and final MSSB location. Pathway will utilise a mix of cable tray run within the existing external walkway roof structure and a pit and conduit as necessary to final MSSB location • Data outlet for BMS integration at MSSB location. Reticulation from suitable comms cabinet pending MSSB location. • Any necessary additional dry fire and security works should the MSSB be located within an enclosed location.
