MTS RFI—Request for Information for Modern Transport Services

The Department of Veterans’ Affairs (DVA) seeks market information to inform how to modernise the existing transport services for DVA clients who need to travel to attend compensable treatment. It is envisaged this would include transport booking and payment systems that support the delivery of transport services (the Service). DVA is aiming to develop a modern transport service that eligible clients can access, simplifies booking and payment processes to enhance veteran autonomy, facilitates greater choice and flexibility, with no out-of-pocket expenses to support the delivery of an efficient, safe, and reliable service for DVA clients requiring transport assistance to access compensable treatment. DVA is not proposing to share clients’ personal medical information. DVA seeks to assess the industry's capability and capacity to coordinate and deliver such travel services on its behalf. DVA has not determined a preferred delivery model, technological solution, commercial arrangement or implementation approach and is seeking information to inform future procurement planning.
