VP525200—1720 Class Locomotive Engine Overhauls 2026

Queensland Rail is seeking a suitably qualified and experienced supplier to overhaul EMD 645E blower-type diesel engines. The base scope comprises four 1720 Class 8-645E engines, with an option for up to two additional 8-645E engines. Queensland Rail may also order the overhaul of up to ten 12-645E engines.
The services include collection and transport, disassembly, inspection, repair or replacement of components, reassembly, testing, preservation, provision of overhaul documentation, and delivery of the completed engines to Queensland Rail’s nominated location in Townsville.
