The purpose of the project is to undertake the drainage, service-interface and security works required to improve the existing drainage corridor and secure the existing Benwell Road car park. These works also support the Port’s future development of additional motor vehicle and cargo storage capacity, which does not form part of this Contract.
The recent construction of the Dedicated Laydown Area and the East Port Connection Road changed the available capacity and drainage arrangements near the existing Benwell Road car park. This Contract is limited to the drainage works and Benwell Road car park security upgrade.
